The rapid implementation, uptake and success of the recently released Observator OMC-140 Multifunctional TFT displayhas resulted in an increased prices of the legacy OMC-138/139 displays.
Needless to say, we are very happy with the market acceptance and uptake of the new OMC-140 display but this has resulted in a rapid decrease in the demand and production of the older LED displays. This has resulted in a significant manufacturing cost-price increase for these older displays and unfortunately, a corresponding increase in our sales prices of the OMC-138/139 displays.
Although the OMC-138/139-series will be available for the foreseeable future, we cannot guarantee further price changes. Some of the electronic component parts are becoming harder to source and therefore we advise and recommend our customers switch to the new Observator multifunctional OMC-140.
The OMC-140 multifunctional TFT display will not only replace the OMC-138/139, but also supersede and replace the OMC-131/OMC-938 and OMC-939 displays.
Since the initial launch of the OMC-140 there have been several small modifications and refinements to its design and function, please check the latest datasheet for the latest specifications.
Currently we are seeking the DNV-GL type-approval certification for the OMC-140, this should be confirmed in the coming months.
We shall keep you updated on the new functions and features of our OMC-140 Multifunctional TFT displays. Please feel free to contact us directly should you have any questions or require additional information on our complete range of displays and meteorological instrumentation.
