Wednesday 7 June 2017

Schiphol Amsertdam Airport (The Netherlands) consulted Observator Instruments for road-condition sensors for their runways and terminals.

The first phase is now going on and means placing ARS31-sensors in the runway “Kaagbaan”. Later this year sensors will be placed at the terminals.

Intelligent Active Road Sensor ARS31Pro-UMB
The active ARS31Pro-UMB sensor is flush-mounted in the road/runway surface and measures the freezing temperature by means of active cooling and heating of the sensor surface. In addition, the ARS31Pro-UMB measures dry/wet-conditions and the road surface temperature.
