Observator introduces NEP-5000-LINK; a low-cost handheld turbidity monitoring solution

Tuesday 6 June 2017

This compact and robust system is ideal for spot sampling in field applications. NEP-5000-LINK uses your favorite Android device for reading turbidity and temperature data from the sensor. The complete system consists of a submersible turbidity sensor with an integrated wiper, a sensor cable, a BlueTooth module, a charger and an Android app for your mobile phone or tablet. The sensor and the BlueTooth module are connected by a cable. The BlueTooth module is connected wireless to your Android device.

The user-friendly app shows the real-time turbidity and water temperature values. Recording of values can be started/stopped with the touch of a fingertip. The GPS location is automatically added to the measurement records. Optionally, you can add one or more photographs. The records can be shared in several ways, including email. Within minutes after completing a measurement, the data can be available on OMC-Data-Online or in the inbox of your customer!

By using previously developed NEP-5000 technology, and by using a mobile device as a handheld, the total solution is very low cost. Yet the performance is uncompromised, again thanks to using the NEP-5000 technology.
