We are proud to inform you that from December 1st, 2014 the name of our Australian company changed from McVan Instruments Pty Ltd to Observator Instruments Pty Ltd.

McVan was part of the Observator group since 2011. With the name change we emphasize that our Australian office is an integral part of the Observator family. A family that exists since 1924.

Further, it indicates a fresh start. In the last years we’ve gone through a lot of improvements in the company, varying from a new office, new products and a new management team. We are now ready for the future with the new name of the company.

While the name is changing, we want to stress that our service and support towards our customers and suppliers remain unchanged or becomes better where we can. We remain the specialist in sensor devices for meteorological and hydrological markets and industries.

As the world’s top manufacturer of turbidity sensors, tipping bucket rain gauges and heavy duty anemometers, we continue to work on new developments of these instruments. Our latest developments are the NEP5000 Analite turbidity probe with integrated pressure sensor and a redesign of Rimco Raingauges.
