Observator's Process Monitoring instruments are used for wide range of applications in marine, shipbuilding, offshore, railways, chemical, petrochemical and food industry. The monitoring of the processes using our instruments and systems is accurate, safe and efficient. Instruments for special applications can be developed to assist the customers with their operations. Custom-made solutions form the driving force of Observator.

Examples include special MAPO pressure gauges for the dredging industry, sandprobes for gas production sites, the anchor chain inclinometer for positioning anchors of fixed working sea-positions, such as FPSOs or mooring turrets. Check below small selection of the Process Monitoring applications.

Observator has several solutions, instruments and gauges to monitor processes in the Offshore Market, such like clinometers, hydrometers, sandprobes and vibraswitches.

  • Clinometer: Angle measurement for anchor chains with a clinometer (inclinometer), this to take care that Turrets or Platforms are positioned correctly with the right anchor chain angles to the anchors on the sea bottom. Electronic clinometer for angle measurement of the pitch and tilt of a vessel.
  • Density: Density measurement to check the density of liquids; sea- / fresh water or fuel. The measurement of seawater is done with a Draft Survey Hydrometer; this to measure the specific density of the water a vessel is floating in.
  • Sandprobe for gaslines: Erosion detection with the Sandprobe this to check the positive working of the sandtrap, which protects the valves from being damaged by the sand in the gas stream.
  • Vibration: To protect rotating machines like motors and generators, we monitor the vibration level with Robertshaw Vibraswitch.
